Material
The rings that make up the stand for the Urusak Water Device are designed specifically for the device. They are designed to be 3D printed. This way we managed to keep the price and the weight down and offer a wide range of look & feel options!
The material was chosen for durability reasons. This means that the material is not necessarily environmentally friendly, but the durability should somewhat compensate for that.
Material | Strength | heat resistance | UV resistance | Sustainability | Notes |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
ABS | 💧💧💧 | 90°C (195°F) | 💧💧 | 💧💧 | Strong professional grade plastic (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene). |
ASA-CF | 💧💧💧💧💧 | 95°C (205°F) | 💧💧💧 | 💧 | Improved ABS industrial-grade with higher heat and UV resistance. Material is due to Carbon Fiber fibers very strong and ridged, has a nice mat finish, but poor environment sustainability (difficult to recycle). |
PLA wood | 💧💧 | 60°C (140°F) | 💧💧💧💧 | 💧💧💧💧 | Made from biomaterial (Poly-Lactic Acid) and 40% grinded wood particles. Beautiful wood look and finish. This is the choice for environment sustainability. Material is biodegradable. |
Strength, UV resistance and Sustainability are rated on a scale of 5 where 💧 is worst and 💧💧💧💧💧 best
